“Mrs. Theris was my daughter’s K4 teacher. It was my daughter’s first year of school in a traditional classroom setting. The classroom and learning environment, however, was anything but traditional. Mrs. Theris created a space where the kids were allowed to play, exercise autonomy, and be creative. Mrs. Theris even developed a VERY popular after school cooking class. These fun classes not only allowed my daughter to make some delicious treats for us, but helped her use and develop fine motor, problem solving, and math skills. (And she just thought she was cooking!) Mrs. Theris is the master when it comes to disguising learning with play.
